About University Disability Inclusion Foundation
Foundation Overview
The University Disability Inclusion Foundation (UDIF) is an independent organisation advancing disability inclusion across higher education and life beyond graduation. The Foundation works along a single continuum: strengthening inclusion within universities so that persons with disabilities are able to transition successfully beyond education into work, entrepreneurship, and full participation in society.
UDIF responds to a critical gap between access to education and meaningful life outcomes. While increasing numbers of persons with disabilities enter universities, many institutions remain underprepared in policy, pedagogy, infrastructure, and institutional culture. At the same time, graduates with disabilities continue to face systemic barriers when moving into employment, self-employment, and independent living.
UDIF therefore integrates institutional capacity building, graduate transition support, assistive technology, research, and policy influence into one coherent framework, ensuring that inclusion is not symbolic, fragmented, or short-lived.
